Learn How to Draw Comics on March 22nd

I'll be teaching a special workshop in San Francisco all about drawing comics

In this workshop, I will show students how to compose images for comics based on tried-and-true comics-making techniques such as spot-blacking and drawing from reference mannequins.

These techniques will make your comics bolder and more noticeable, unlocking your potential by focusing on black-and-white compositions to which color can be added for even greater effect. All levels of drawing skill are welcome, including students who have never drawn comics (or anything else) before. I will guide students through a series of exercises using markers, drawing paper and tracing paper, and by the end of the class each student will have completed at least one page of comics.
